HaviKoro, a group of breakdance and hip hop artists from Houston, has been invited by the U.S. Embassy in Argentina to give a master class and public performances in Buenos Aires, San Miguel and La Plata, July 17-21.  HaviKoro is a group of friends that chose to spread an anti-drug message for youth through breakdancing and rap music. HaviKoro has toured all over the world in places such as Helsinki, Moscow, Paris, Frankfurt, Hannover, Tokyo, Seoul, New Zealand, London, Zurich, Baku, India and all major U.S. cities.

HaviKoro has also shared the stage with many well known artists and associations such as Destiny’s Child. HaviKoro has appeared in Germany’s largest hip hop magazine, Backspin. They were also interviewed for MTV on their most recent trip to Europe. For the past five years, members of HaviKoro have been hip hop instructors with the Houston Independent School District. HaviKoro was recently sponsored by a San Diego clothing company, Tribal Gear.

Live Performances:

On July 20 at 5:00 p.m. HaviKoro will perform at Teatro de la Ribera, Mendoza 1821.  The event is sponsored by the Dirección General de la Juventud, Subsecretaría de Promoción e Integración Social, Ministerio de Derechos Humanos y Sociales, Gobierno de la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires.

On July 21 at 12 a.m., the group will perform in La Plata under the auspices of Fundación Pro Humanae Vitae.  Address: 51 St. between 9 and 10.

Tuesday, July 18: HaviKoro will participate in the TV show “Mañanas Informales”, at 10:00 a.m. (channel 13).


Master Class:

Julio Bocca Foundation’s School of Music Hall and Classical Dance under the artistic direction of Julio Bocca and Ricky Pashkus, with the collaboration of Facundo and Martín Lombard, invites you to apply to attend a master class by HaviKoro.  The master class will take place at Estudio Julio Bocca on Wednesday, July 19 at 9:00 p.m. Attendees should be dancers 18 years or older, with previous experience.  Interested dancers can apply at the following:
