Ambassador Wayne visits Fundacion Gente Nueva

Ambassador Wayne visited the city of Bariloche on October 13 and called on the cultural center of "Fundación Gente Nueva." The Ambassador was received by the President of the foundation Gustavo Genusso and the percussion ensamble. The Ambassador attended a brief music session by members of the group and presented a collection of books for the libraries of the institution.

Back in 2007, the Embassy had selected Mr. Gustavo Genusso to participate in the NGO Conference organized by the White House. "Fundación Gente Nueva" works in more than 20 schools of different neighbourhoods of the city of Bariloche attended by over 1,500 students. A total of 5,000 people participate in the programs carried out by the institution, which is devoted to the development of youth in the region through several education and cultural programs.

"The work of "Fundación Gente Nueva" is an example of investment in education and to invest in education is to invest in improving people's quality of life. As I share this value I would like to support the activities carried out by the foundation". -- said the Ambassador.
