Ambassador Wayne at the 70th Anniversary of the National Border Guard ceremony

Ambassador Wayne attended ceremonies to mark the 70th Anniversary of the National Border Guard. General Commander Hector Schenone officiated at the event held at the National Border Guard headquarters.  Ambassador Wayne expressed to Commander Schenone his recognition for the dedicated service and sacrifice by the outstanding members of the National Border Guard, and he expressed his gratitude for the invaluable assistance of Argentina in providing important information to counter transnational threats to the security and stability of the region.  In addition, Ambassador Wayne thanked the Minister of Justice, Security and Human Rights, Anibal Fernadez, who attended the ceremony, for his words praising joint efforts to combat trafficking in persons, the fight against drug trafficking and other criminal activities.
