Ambassador Martinez met on February 4 with a group of seventeen Argentine young leaders selected by Fundacion Universitaria del Rio de la Plata (FURP) to participate in a study trip to the US. This Program is organized annually by FURP with the Embassy´s support and this year will consist of visits to public institutions, international organizations and non profits in Austin (Texas), Washington DC, Philadelphia and New York between February 6 and March 3, 2010. The Ambassador underscored that the FURP  Program is a great tool to help strengthen mutual understanding and friendship between the people of Argentina and the United States and to provide young leaders with accurate knowledge of U.S. social, political and economic institutions.
