AMBASSADOR WAYNE GREETS FURP FELLOWS BEFORE DEPARTURE TO U.S.

Ambassador Wayne met on January 27 with a group of seventeen Argentine young leaders selected by Fundacion Universitaria del Rio de la Plata (FURP) to participate in a study trip to the US. This program is organized every year by FURP with the Embassy’s support, and consists of visits to public institutions, international organizations and non profits in Austin (Texas), Washington DC, Philadelphia and New York, between January 31 and March 3, 2009.
“FURP Program is a tool of great efficacy to strengthen mutual understanding and friendship between Argentina and the United States and to provide young leaders with an accurate knowledge of U.S. social, political and economic institutions,” the Ambassador stated.
