TOURISM BRINGS THE UNITED STATES AND ARGENTINA CLOSER TOGETHER

Ambassador Wayne met with Michael Luongo, travel expert and Frommer’s guide writer, on March 17. During the meeting both agreed of the importance of tourism to bring countries closer. Ambassador said “Travel and tourism allows us to know and share our great countries and cultures, and it is good business,” and added “Tourism between Argentina and the United States is booming and has grown dramatically. The total number of passengers between Argentina and the United States has grown nearly 20 % both ways during 2008 resulting in approximately 360,000 Americans visiting Argentina and 380,000 Argentines traveling to the United States.”
“Travel and tourism between Argentina and the United States continues to be strong. Many Americans visit Argentina and have memorable experiences thanks to companies like Frommers,” Ambassador Wayne said.
