| FREE ENTERPRISE LEADERSHIP CHALLENGE (FELC) |
** SIGN UP FOR 2008 PROGRAM **
The FELC program is an effective way to promote students' understanding of business, personal responsibility, and the opportunities available to them in a free enterprise system. During their week-long stay, students interact with prominent community and business leaders who share success stories and answer students' questions about their careers. The program’s goal is to foster business and community leaders who are actively involved in creating jobs and developing human resources.
WHAT WILL PARTICIPANTS DO?
Participants will form companies to manufacture and market a product or provide a service. Company activities include lessons about marketing, production, the cost of doing business, profits, and taxes. This conference will allow students the opportunity to participate in a Virtual Trade Mission (an internet-based market research project to promote a better understanding of the global economy), free enterprise strategies, and learn from prominent leaders in business, government, and the community.
