Other Services
Federal & State Income Taxes
All US Citizens must report their income to the IRS each year. Living or earning income outside the United States does not relieve a US citizen of the responsibility for filing tax returns. Many Argentines who work in the United States or derive income from U.S. sources are also required to file annual income tax returns with the Internal Revenue Service.
Every year the ACS Unit receives a selection of federal tax forms and information booklets, but does not have state tax forms. You may come to the Consulate to pick up tax forms. An Internal Revenue Service taxpayer is always available on/about March every year. If you are interested in knowing exactly the date, please send an e-mail to Buenosaires-ACS@state.gov at the beginning of the year and we will inform you.
