Expedite Visa for Students and Exchange Visitors

Applicants who need to travel to the United States urgently to begin their studies should first call the Visa Information Service to schedule an appointment. Follow the instructions for scheduling an appointment HERE.

If the scheduled appointment does not allow you to arrive in the United States in time to start classes, you may request an expedited appointment by e-mailing HERE. Please note that you MUST already have a scheduled appointment, in order to request an expedited appointment.

Students should carefully review the information on the Student Visa page and should come preapred to the interview with all necessary documents. Interviewing officers may request documents demonstrating the start of the school term.

Please note that an expedited appointment in no way guarantees that the visa will be granted. Each applicant must qualify for a visa under U.S. Immigration Law. If issued, a visa normally will be printed on the same day and off-site delivery will be arranged through the DHL delivery service for the following day. Occasionally, unforseen computer or other problems may delay visa printing.
