Former U.S. Ambassador to Argentina (1986-1989) Theodore Gildred, accompanied by Ambassador Lino Gutierrez, presented the key to the City of San Diego, California to Buenos Aires Mayor Jorge Telerman. Ambassador Gildred's goodwill trip to Latin America took him to Mexico City, Guatemala City, Managua, San Jose, Panama, Quito, and Buenos Aires.
