OUSTANDING PIANIST FROM JUILLIARD SCHOOL ARRIVES IN BUENOS AIRES
The U.S. Embassy in Argentina and the Museum of Hispanic American Art “Isaac Fernandez Blanco” with the assistance of the American Chamber of Commerce in Argentina (AmCham) and the Cultural Center of UCA, are pleased to invite you to the concert featuring U.S. pianist Elizabeth Joy Roe, next Thursday, August 30 at 7.00 pm at Suipacha 1422, Buenos Aires.
Entrance is free with limited space.
Since launching her career at age 13 with a Grand Prize victory in the IBLA International Piano Competition in Italy, Elizabeth Joy Roe has garnered numerous awards in international and national competitions, and has been honored by the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts, the National Association for Professional Asian Women, the Music for Youth Foundation, and the Samsung Foundation of Culture. She has performed at such major venues as Lincoln Center, Zankel Hall at Carnegie Hall, Steinway Hall, the Seoul Arts Center in Korea and the Salle Cortot in Paris, among others. Elizabeth was exclusively chosen to perform for the Women for Women Association of the United Nations and for events celebrating the centennial year of The Juilliard School at the New York Public Library, Carnegie Hall, and Lincoln Center. Ms. Roe earned her BM and MM degrees from The Juilliard School as a pupil of Yoheved Kaplinsky.
