ASSISTANT USTR FOR THE AMERICAS VISITS ARGENTINA

Everett Eissenstat, Assistant U.S. Trade Representative for the Americas, visited Buenos Aires October 4, 2006, to discuss with senior officials of the Argentine Government a range of trade issues of mutual interest.
Mr. Eissenstat also met with Argentine economic journalists at the U.S. Embassy, where he explained the review of the GSP program, the importance of "clear rules of the game" for foreign investors, and shared U.S. perspectives on the WTO trade talks.
