Video conference on “The U.S. Presidential Candidates and their Perspectives” with a presentation by Mr. Raúl “Danny” Vargas

On September 24 the Embassy held a digital video conference on “The U.S. Presidential Candidates and their Perspectives” with a presentation by Mr. Raúl “Danny” Vargas, member of the Republican National Committee. After the general introduction by Mr. Vargas, Embassy staff led a very active Q&A session with the audience in Buenos Aires, composed of more than 70 people, including diplomats, politicians, academics, leaders of civil organizations and journalists. Mr. Vargas briefed the participants about aspects of U.S. foreign policy towards Latin America, immigration, Middle East, economic and health policies, among many other important subjects. Mr. Vargas also spoke specifically of the important influence the Hispanic community is playing on the political framework and future role of the US in the Latin American region.
