RENOWNED WOMEN SOCCER COACH IN ARGENTINA
June 1-7, 2008
Anson Dorrance, renowned Head Coach of the Women's Soccer Program at the University of North Carolina, visited Argentina June 1-7. During his stay, Coach Dorrance trained more than 30 Argentine girls' soccer coaches from Buenos Aires, Santa Fe and Salta, and held clinics for over 100 girls' soccer players. In Buenos Aires, Dorrance conducted clinics for coaches and players at CENARD and also visited the Argentine Soccer Association facility in Ezeiza, where he met the Argentine National Women's Soccer Team. In Santa Fe, Coach Dorrance spoke to more than 200 students from the local coach training center and then conducted a clinic at Club Atlético Colón. Dorrance concluded his stay in Argentina with a visit to Salta where he trained coaches at the Provincial Secretariat of Sports and then conducted a 3-hour clinic for players at Martearena Stadium.
