VICE-CONSUL MAKES DONATION AT CORDOBA SCHOOL

September 18, 2007

US Embassy Vice-Consul Chad Wilton donated a set of books to the Alejandro Carbo School in the city of Cordoba September 18. Mr. Wilton met with Principal María Antonia Garces de Baratelli, who informed him about the school’s links to the United States. The Carbo School’s first principal was one of the US teachers former President Domingo Faustino Sarmiento recruited in the second half the 19th century to help improve Argentina’s public education system.
