Ambassador Vilma Martinez Meets with the Minister of Industry and Tourism

On October 23rd, in a meeting at the Ministry of Industry and Tourism Headquarters,  Ambassador Vilma Martinez met with the Minister of Industry and Tourism, Debora Giorgi, for the first time.  They both took advantage of the opportunity to discuss themes of mutual interest, such as multinational commerce, in which there is already a bilateral treaty of investments and intellectual property rights.

During the meeting with the Minister, Ambassador Martinez emphasized her desire to collaborate with the Ministry in an effort to support and strengthen the already solid bilateral commercial relationship between the two countries. There are more than 500 U.S. companies that operate in Argentina, employing more than 155,000 Argentine workers. The Ambassador also expressed her interest in hearing about their top priorities for investment, so that the U.S. and Argentina can work together. 

“It has been a pleasure to be able to discuss the topics of commerce and bilateral investment with the Minister Giorgi. I am sure that we will continue to collaborate in relation to these themes and other mutual interests during my term as Ambassador,” noted Ambassador Martinez.
