AMBASSADOR WAYNE INVITES AMBASSADOR DAVIDOW TO CHAT WITH LEADING ARGENTINES

On August 11, Ambassador Wayne invited Jeff Davidow, former Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs and former Ambassador to Mexico and Venezuela, to share thoughts and conversation about the region and the United States with Deputy Foreign Minister Taccetti, members of Congress, the banking community, and distinguished local journalists, analysts and former diplomats. Mr. Davidow currently heads University of California at San Diego's Institute of the Americas (IoA). IoA is currently celebrating its 25th anniversary as a leading policy center for the consideration of hemispheric issues, with a particular focus on energy and broad economic integration themes. Mr. Davidow is at present in Argentina to lead a conference on regional energy integration and carbon trading, which is taking place at the Four Seasons Hotel on August 12-13.
