ASOCIACION CONCIENCIA HOSTS WELCOME COCKTAIL FOR AMBASSADOR MARTINEZ

On November 3rd Asociacion Conciencia’s President Lia Rueda hosted a welcome reception for Ambassador Martinez. The Ambassador was introduced to the women that form Conciencia’s Board of Directors. Ambassador Martinez also had the opportunity to meet many of Conciencia’s supporters and partners from the public and private sectors. She congratulated Conciencia’ members for their hard work in the development of educational programs to foster the development of responsible citizenship practices for young people. The U.S. Embassy has been a longtime supporter of Conciencia’s civic education programs, including the Model UN for high school students and the Justice Goes to School Program.
“I believe that organizations like Conciencia play a very important part in the vital effort to build a stronger democracy. I congratulate you for your work, and I salute you for accepting the responsibility for making us all better citizens in a more democratic world,” said Ambassador Martinez.
