Deputy Chief of Mission Tom Kelly visited Casa del Niño Padre Jose Kentenich with a group of players from the U.S. Under 17 National Men’s Soccer Team on July 12. Casa del Niño Padre Jose Kentenich serves as a day care center for over 330 underprivileged children in the San Nicolas neighborhood in Florencio Varela. Mr. Kelly and the players greeted a group of 80 children from Casa del Niño. The U.S. Under 17 Men’s Soccer Team members played a short match with the Casa del Niño’s soccer team while the rest of the children cheered in the crowd. After the game, everyone enjoyed an afternoon snack and Mr. Kelly and the U.S. players chatted with the children and signed autographs.
