DONATION OF U.S. BOOKS TO SCHOOL IN BARRACAS

The U.S. Embassy donated more than a hundred books to the Escuela Tecnica #14 "Libertad" in Barracas, Buenos Aires on July 20th.  The books, both fiction and non-fiction, were given to the library for the use of the students and included classics of U.S. literature translated into Spanish such as "Tom Sawyer," "Little Women," and "Red Badge of Courage." In the photo, the Embassy's Cultural Attache Martha Buckley presents the texts to school director Mr. Hector Bonells.
