The U.S. Embassy in Argentina is proud to be a co-sponsor of the performance in Buenos Aires March 23 of  the multi-Grammy award-winning group Béla Fleck and the Flecktones.

Béla Fleck and the Flecktones draw equally on bluegrass, fusion and jazz. The band formed in 1988 and has toured extensively since then, often playing over 200 concerts per year.

Frontman Béla Fleck plays acoustic and electric banjos, mixing a bluegrass and folk sound into a modern improvisational style. Brothers Victor Wooten and Roy "Future Man" Wooten form the rhythm section. Saxophonist Jeff Coffin rounds out the quartet. The group has been nominated for 25 Grammies and won 8.

Béla Fleck and the Flecktones will perform on Friday, March 23 at 9:30 pm. at the Gran Rex Theater in Buenos Aires and on Saturday, March 24 at 9:30 pm at the Libertador San Martin Theater in Cordoba.
