AMBASSADOR VISITS INTERNATIONAL AUTO SHOW

Ambassador Wayne visited the Fourth Buenos Aires International Auto Show at the Rural Society showgrounds in the neighborhood of Palermo on June 20th. During the walk-through, the Ambassador praised the work of US car manufacturing firms, General Motors, DaimlerChrysler and Ford, which together account for 35 percent of Argentina’s auto production, 43 percent of its exports and employ well over 5,000 Argentines in high-skilled, well-paid jobs. The Fourth Buenos Aires International Auto Show is open to the public from June 15 to June 23. The first Auto Show was held in 1998, and then in 2000, 2005 and 2007. More than 300.000 have already visited the show this year.
