AMBASSADOR WAYNE SAYS THE ATSC STANDARD BEST SUITS ARGENTINA’S DIGITAL TV NEEDS

US Ambassador Earl Anthony Wayne said on Thursday, November 16, that the Advanced Television System Committee (ATSC) standard has the most advanced technology and would best suit Argentina’s efforts to deliver free digital television to its citizens. “Ours is an effort to bridge the digital gap and make sure that everyone, rich and poor alike, has access to digital TV,” the Ambassador said in a press conference at the Park Hyatt Hotel. The Ambassador was flanked by the Embassy’s Commercial Advisor, Brian Brisson, and by Juan Carlos Guidobono, regional representative of the ATSC Forum, who explained the technical specifications of the standard.
