How to apply

There are three ways to schedule your appointment:

1-Do it yourself:

a) With your VISA or MASTERCARD: Call the VIS at 4321-1100. Select the credit card option and buy a PIN of U$ 15 dollars aproximately. Once the transaction is approved, you will have access to the Service, OR

 b) Go to any Pago Fácil location and paying for a Visa Information Service (VIS) PIN and calling 4321 1100 to schedule your visa interview at the Embassy in Buenos Aires. OR

2-Visit any Bi-National Center, or DHL office to have them schedule your appontment, OR

3- Calling from the U.S.:  Visa applicants calling from the United States, may purchase a Visa Information Service PIN using either a Visa or Mastercard for a charge of 50 pesos aproximately. Once the credit card transaction is approved, you will have access to the service, to receive information and to make an appointment.  If you are calling from the United States and would like to make an appointment, please call: 1-877-355-0943

Be sure to have your passports on hand when you schedule your visa appointment

Note: You can schedule with one PIN, up to five family members

Before coming to your visa interview:

  1. Pay your application fee at any Banco de la Ciudad or Red Link locations.

    (Applicants are advised that the U.S. government is not responsible for any errors that may occur as a result of using RedLink ATM services for visa payment fee. All such errors including lack of recipt paper or unreadable recipts are not reimbursable by the U.S. govermnment. Instead, all requests for reimbursement and all complaints related to services sought through the privately-owned and operated RedLink system should be referred directly to RedLink customer service).
  2. Complete all the required forms for your type of visa.
  3. Arrive ON TIME for your scheduled appointment.
  4. Your fingerprints will be scanned before your interview.
  5. If approved, your visa and passport will be delivered by DHL OR returned to the Bi-national Center that scheduled your appointment.

Apply by Mail

If you are under 14 years old or over 79 years old, you may be able to apply and receive your visa by mail, without a personal interview.

Pin Price Adjustment

Effective March 1st , the PIN price will be adjusted. The PIN number will cost $50 pesos ($16USD). If you buy your PIN with a credit card calling from a local phone number or from the United States, the cost will be $15USD.
