AMBASSADOR WAYNE ATTENDS AMCHAM-IBM MEETING ON “SERVICE EXPORTS, KEY TO ARGENTINA'S COMPETITIVENESS”

On November 25, Ambassador Wayne attended a services export meeting, organized by Amcham at the IBM Technology Campus, Martinez, Province of Buenos Aires. U.S. and Argentine companies in the services export sector, such as IBM, Motorola, Teletech, Accenture, CH2M Hill and Globant attended, as well as the President of the Argentine Investment Promotion Agency, Mrs. Beatriz Nofal. The discussion focused on how Argentina might be able to increase its services exports. IT related export of services in Argentina has increased consistently in recent years and could double the impact in the Argentine economy over the next three years. Participants noted that Argentina has a competitive advantage in this sector. AMCHAM has been promoting the export of services from Argentina since 2006.
