Noah B. Mamet was confirmed as U.S. Ambassador to Argentina by the U.S. Senate on December 2, 2014.

Ambassador Mamet has been a top advisor to various Democratic presidential candidates and numerous Senate, House and Gubernatorial campaigns.

During the 2012 election, he served on the Obama-Biden National Finance Committee and co-hosted events with President Obama and Vice President Biden in numerous cities.

Ambassador Mamet founded the consulting firm Noah Mamet & Associates LLC in 2004, after serving for seven years as Senior Advisor for the House Democratic Leader, Congressman Richard A. Gephardt. Over the last nine years, he has provided consulting services for private sector companies and nonprofit organizations such as the Clinton Global Initiative, National Democratic Institute, Global Green USA and the U.S. Fund for UNICEF. 
Ambassador Mamet has worked closely with national and international political leaders, including President Bill Clinton, Secretary Hillary Clinton and Secretary of State Madeleine Albright.

In addition, he has consulted for CEO’s in various sectors, including real estate, entertainment, banking, sports management, hospitality and alternative energy.

In Los Angeles, Ambassador Mamet worked on numerous philanthropic causes, including education reform efforts in California. This experience led to Ambassador Mamet's strong support for domestic and international educational exchange programs.

In 2007, he was a member of a high level international delegation representing the DC-based National Democratic Institute to monitor and report on the first openly democratic election in Sierra Leone, Africa, since that country’s civil war.

Ambassador Mamet is a member of the Pacific Council on International Policy.  His charitable work includes his role as an active board member on the Los Angeles based Green Dot Public Schools, which is the largest public charter school operator in California and a leading catalyst for education reform nationwide.

He is also on the board of NatureBridge, a national nonprofit organization which teaches math and science to kids through an innovative approach, including field trips to national and state parks.

Ambassador Mamet has been a member of the American Council of Young Political Leaders.  A graduate of University of California at Los Angeles, he lives in Marina del Rey, California.
