Chargé d´Affaires Thomas Kelly visited Amartya Association on September 14 and donated computers for the Job Search Center used by the Doncel Project. Attendees included Amartya´s authorities, youths and representatives of the companies and institutions that help put the program into practice.

“The Doncel Project is extremely valuable for putting these youths on an equal footing when looking for employment.  These PCs are another tool to help them get their first job.”

Amartya is a Civil Association founded in 2005 devoted to social responsibility management and research.

What is Doncel?  Doncel is a social inclusion project aimed at youths between 17 and 21 years old living in youth shelters or group foster homes.   Doncel seeks to create new opportunities for this population through activities aimed at obtaining real work experiences and training in order to enhance employability as well as help them prepare for the time they have to leave those institutions.
