AMBASSADOR VILMA MARTINEZ ATTENDS RECEPTION IN HONOR OF AL GORE
October 14, 2009

Ambassador Vilma Martinez attended a reception for Al Gore on October 14 at the Argentine Rural Society in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Palermo. The event was hosted prior to the presentation of his renowned climate change program “An Inconvenient Truth”.

“Climate change with its destabilizing effects on the environment is an important challenge for the world. If all nations work together implementing adequate policies we will be able to look into the future with hope. I congratulate Mr. Gore for his efforts to raise awareness among the world’s people on the importance of thinking green,” said Ambassador Vilma Martinez at the reception in honor of former Vice President Al Gore.

Former Vice President Gore is visiting Argentina to make presentations on “green business and climate change” to assorted audiences.

Ambassador Martinez joined approximately 25 other guests at the private reception to honor Gore’s Nobel-prize winning work combating climate change and exchange perspectives on the global challenge of climate change.
