Ricardo Alfonsin visited U.S. Ambassador Earl Anthony Wayne ON February 11 to relay congratulations and best wishes from his father— former President Raul Alfonsin—upon President Barack Obama’s inauguration.  Ambassador Wayne expressed appreciation for the former President’s warm message and relayed his best wishes to Dr. Alfonsin for a speedy recovery.  “President Obama’s inauguration opens up a new chapter in U.S. relations with Argentina and the region at large and provides an opportunity for us to advance our bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest,” the Ambassador said.
