New Edition of the Youth Ambassadors Program

Ambassador Vilma Martinez announced on October 20 the fourth edition of the Youth Ambassadors Program, an initiative of the US Embassy in Argentina with the collaboration of the Fulbright Commission and the American organization Partners of the Americas. The program is designed to send outstanding Argentine secondary school students from all over the country to the United States for three weeks to learn about U.S. society and culture and to share Argentina’s culture with people in the United States. The Youth Ambassadors will travel to Washington DC, where they will meet with delegations from Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay; and then, they will travel to the state of Montana, where they will live with a host family, attend classes, and participate in cultural and sports events. The Embassy has invested over U$ 240,000 that allowed for the travel of 27 students from 17 provinces and the City of Buenos Aires.
